Short Film Track

This track will target production companies or establishments that have legal entities in Saudi Arabia to produce short films by providing grants to the following categories: fiction films, documentaries, and animated films with a maximum duration of 40 minutes.

Special Conditions for the Short Film Track

1. The duration of the short film should not exceed a maximum of 40 minutes for the entire film.
2. The company or establishment is not required to have prior experience in film production to apply in this track.
3. The director or producer must have previously directed or produced at least one short film.
4. All scripts must be submitted in both Arabic and English languages.
5. Provide proof that the production company or establishment owns copyrights relating to the film script or provide a copy of a release agreement with the owner of those rights, if any.
6. We recommend the duration of the short film should not exceed 15 minutes to increase opportunities to participate in global festivals.

1. KSA commercial register.
2. Media license certificate.
3. Zakat and income certificate and vat registration certificate.
4. Saudization certificate.
5. Proof of the applicant's ownership of the company.
6. Copies of all company or establishment licenses.
7. Production license.
8. Contracts related to the film in question.
9. Cvs of the technical team in the company.
10. An overview of the films previously produced and the festivals and awards they have received.
11. Clearance permit from the general authority for audiovisual media.
12. Proof of opening files for the company or establishment with the relevant authorities.
13. Evidence that the company is the owner of the author's rights.
14. Film type.
15. Film duration.
16. Name of the writer.
17. Name of the director.
18. Name of the producer.
19. What are the motivations of the director and producer to work on the project?
20. Biography of the writer, director, and producer.
21. The film's treatment (director's treatment).
22. The detailed script treatment includes logline, synopsis, treatment.
23. The crew and cast lists.
24. The detailed budget.
25. The film's schedule timeline.
26. A summary of the film's strategy in applying to film festivals a presentation summarizing all the details of the film.
27. Legal consent.
