Description

It is a historic neighbourhood north of Masjid al-Haram. Shib Amir witnessed the entire history of Mecca due to its proximity to the holy mosque. Jabal Khandama embraces the neighbourhood from the south. Al-Ghaza, Al-Jodriya, Souq Al-Lail, Al-Khrig, and Haraj Al-Ghanam are the important markets that used to be close to the neighbourhood. However, they were removed. There are multiple state services, such as the Directorate of Post, Telephone and Telegraph, Al-Mahroug Prison and the Saudi Primary School.
