The market is characterized by a strong presence of traditional products, and is run by a large group of elderly people, and is frequented by a large number of residents of the region, especially on Tuesdays, when the pace of buying and selling accelerates. It was inaugurated by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal on 7/6/1416 AH. It was built in an oval shape to accommodate the number of its visitors. It includes more than two hundred shops and stands in which vendors display their exhibits beautifully.
