Description

Zubaydah Castle stands as a witness to the grandeur of the ancient architecture that was ordered by the wife of the Abbasid Caliph Harun al-Rashid. It was an endowment to provide water for pilgrims. The castle is surrounded by many water pools that store water in them and hundreds of channels that transport it to Mecca.
